How To Become A Member
You can become a member of the University of Tampa Equestrian Club by contacting our club leaders or attending one of our meetings. All UT students have the opportunity to tryout for the competitive team or become a non-competitive member of the club.
The non-competitive members do not ride on a team, but they have the opportunity to participate in many events hosted by the team and club. The University of Tampa Equestrian Club offers its members the opportunity to volunteer in the community, fundraise, and take the opportunity to participate in horse related events and field trips. All club members have the opportunity to take lessons with our coach, even if you are not on the team!

The University of Tampa Equestrian Team (UTET) competes in Hunt Seat division with other universities of our IHSA region including University of Florida and Savannah College of Art and Design. You do not need your own horse to participate!
UTET requires its members to be full time students and maintain a 2.5 GPA. In addition to academic requirements, all team members must volunteer in fundraising events, take weekly lessons with the team coach, and attend meetings.
Tryouts for the Equestrian Team are held at the beginning of every fall semester.
